This is a salted mozuku made with 100% thick mozuku cultivated on Ojima Island, located in Nanjo City, Okinawa. As it is a salted type, it can be stored at room temperature, making it convenient for bulk purchases or as a souvenir. Nurtured by the beautiful sea and rich nature, this mozuku is a variety unique to Okinawa and the Nansei Islands, and is rarely found on the mainland. It is characterised by its thick strands, smooth texture, and pleasantly firm bite.

How to desalt salted mozuku:
1. Take out the desired amount of mozuku from the package and gently rinse in plenty of water two to three times to wash away the salt.
2. Soak the mozuku in 1% salt water for 5–10 minutes. Once only a faint saltiness remains, it is ready to use.
