A premium, single-serving drip coffee bag set produced by Ogawa Coffee, one of Japan's most prestigious and historic coffee roasters, founded in Kyoto in 1952. It contains 5 individual drip bags, making exactly 5 cups of coffee.
Blue Mountain refers to coffee grown in the Blue Mountain region of Jamaica, renowned worldwide for being one of the rarest and most expensive coffees, prized for its perfect balance and complete lack of bitterness.
Since this is a "Blend" (not 100% pure Blue Mountain), Ogawa masterfully combines genuine Jamaican Blue Mountain beans with other high-grade specialty Arabica beans. This allows them to capture the signature smooth, refined character of Blue Mountain while keeping the price accessible for daily drinking.
Each bag is a pre-ground, pre-measured filter pouch with two fold-out paper "ears" that hook securely over the rim of your mug.
It requires no special equipment—no dripper, no scale, no paper filter folding. You just tear open the top, hang it on your cup, and pour hot water. It is designed for convenience without sacrificing quality, making it hugely popular for home, office, or travel in Japan.
It features a mild, gentle acidity (not sharp or sour), a medium-to-full body, and a sweet, lingering aftertaste.
How to brew it perfectly:
-
Place the drip bag over a mug (ideal capacity: 140ml–150ml per bag).
-
Gently shake the bag to level the coffee grounds.
-
Pour a small amount of hot water (about 90°C–95°C / 194°F–203°F) over the grounds just enough to wet them, and wait 20–30 seconds for the coffee to "bloom" (release gases for better extraction).
-
Slowly pour the remaining hot water in a circular motion over the grounds in 2–3 stages until you reach your desired cup volume. Wait for the water to fully drip through before removing the bag.
Store in cool dry place
