A mix for baking rich and indulgent brownies at home. The result is a dense chocolate cake with a deep cocoa flavour. You can also customise it by adding dried fruits or nuts.
Instructions
Makes 2 square brownies (15 cm tins)
Preparation time: about 25 minutes
Ingredients
Mix 100g
Sweet chocolate 80g
Unsalted butter 120g
Whole eggs 100g (about 2 medium eggs)
Walnuts 40g
Tools
Mixing bowls, microwave or double boiler, whisk, spatula, square baking tin, baking paper, oven, skewer
Preparation
Line the baking tin with baking paper.
Instructions
1. Place the butter and chocolate in a bowl and melt them using a double boiler or microwave.
(If using a microwave, heat at 500W in 10-second intervals until melted.)
2. In another bowl, combine the eggs and mix. Whisk until smooth.
3. Add the melted chocolate mixture and whisk for about 30 seconds until well combined.
4. Pour half of the batter into each prepared tin using a spatula. Sprinkle walnuts on top.
5. Bake in a 180°C preheated oven for about 15 minutes.
Insert a skewer; if it comes out clean, the brownies are ready.
Baking time and temperature may vary depending on the oven.
