Makes 1 chocolate gâteau (15 cm round tin)
Preparation time: about 40 minutes
Ingredients
Mix 100g
Sweet chocolate 80g
Unsalted butter 50g
Whole egg 50g (about 1 medium egg)
Milk 50mL
Icing sugar To dust
Tools
Mixing bowls, microwave or double boiler, whisk, spatula, cake tin, baking paper, oven, skewer, sieve
Preparation
Line the cake tin with baking paper.
Instructions
1. Place the butter and chocolate in a bowl and melt them using a double boiler or microwave.
(If using a microwave, heat at 500W in short 10-second intervals until melted.)
2. In another bowl, combine the egg, milk and mix. Whisk until smooth.
3. Add the melted chocolate mixture and whisk for about 30 seconds until well combined.
4. Pour the batter into the prepared tin and bake in a 180°C preheated oven for about 30 minutes.
Insert a skewer; if it comes out clean, the cake is done.
5. Allow to cool slightly, remove from the tin, and dust with icing sugar using a sieve.
Baking time and temperature may vary depending on the oven.
Store in cool dry place
