These Tanba black soybeans are produced in the Tanba region of Hyogo Prefecture and carefully hand-sorted.

 

They are known for their glossy black colour and rich sweetness.

 

In Japan, they are often simmered sweetly for New Year dishes, used in mixed rice, or roasted to make black soybean tea.
