Domaine Louis Michel’s Butteaux is made from vines that are at 70 years of age, as these vines were planted in 1955!
The 2023 vintage is outstanding, offering up a pure and complex aromatic constellation of lime, pear, green apple, a lovely foundation of chalky soil tones, fruit blossoms and a touch of anise in the upper register. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, complex, mineral-driven and shows off beautiful depth of fruit in the mid-palate. The finish is long, zesty and impeccably balanced. Fine, fine juice.
