Nansui pears are a type of red pear that is usually harvested in late September. They come from Nagano Prefecture, where most of Japan’s Nansui pears are grown.

These pears are very sweet and have a crisp, juicy white flesh. Even near the core, they remain sweet without any acidity, resulting in a wonderfully delicious flavour.
